During your initial consultation we will take a detailed case history in order to diagnose what the problem may be. We will carefully examine you by asking you to perform simple movements, and if necessary perform various tests in order to determine which structures may be causing your symptoms.

Often you will be asked to remove some clothes so that we can see how your body is moving. If you are reluctant to do this, wear thin loose fitting clothes which will still allow us to assess the function of your body.

You will always be entitled to ask a friend or family member to be with you during the treatment. We can also provide a chaperone if you wish- we just need to know in advance. Once we've reached a diagnosis, we will discuss this with you and if appropriate, treat you.

After the treatment you may be given some simple exercises, stretches or postural advice. It is not unusual to feel a little sore after treatment. If this is likely to happen we will advise you on how to manage this post-treatment reaction.
